It was (to be) 1889. Mr Sherlock Holmes lived (to

famous detective. Dr Watson is the one telling the story, he was (to be) Mr Sherlock Holmes friend and he helped (to help) Sherlock to solve the mysteries.
One day, Dr Mortimer asks
them for help to solve the mystery of the death of Sir Charles. He tells
Sherlock and Watson about the curse of the Baskerville’s family:
A long time ago, Hugo Baskerville, the owner of
Baskerville Hall, kidnapped (to kidnap) a
farmer’s daughter. Hugo was (to be) a very cruel
and bad man. When the girl was (to be) able to

Arthur Conan Doyle was a Scottish writer best-known for his creation of the
detective Sherlock Holmes.
Arthur
Conan Doyle was born on May 22, 1859, in Edinburgh, Scotland. His mother was a
lively and well-educated woman who loved reading. She told her son a lot of
strange and interesting stories.
When
he was nine, Arthur Conan Doyle started studying at a Jesuit school in England.
In 1876, he started studying medicine at the University of Edinburgh. There he
met Professor Dr. Joseph Bell, who had excellent powers of deduction and who became
the model for Sherlock Holmes. Doyle’s classmates included future famous
authors James Barrie and Robert Louis Stevenson.

introduced readers to Sherlock Holmes and his assistant, Dr. Watson. It was the
first of about sixty stories about them and it made Arthur Conan Doyle famous.

1906, Doyle's wife died of tuberculosis. A year after her death, Doyle married

Holmes.
